Facebook Group Growth: What's Working Right Now

Facebook Group Growth: What's Working Right Now
Share
  • Grow the group. Keep the conversations going with a system. Do not try to grow your way out of a broken follow-up.
  • Growth is meaningless if the engagement does not go anywhere.

Facebook group growth has changed a lot in the last couple of years, and a lot of the advice still floating around is out of date. Here is what is actually working for coaches right now, based on what I am seeing work across the groups I help build and run.

What's working now

  • Small, loud groups are beating big, quiet ones, quality of engagement, not member count.
  • Useful posts that ask one specific question outperform general discussion prompts.
  • Profile-to-group funnels (your personal profile pointing into your group) are the number one growth lever.
  • Weekly rituals, the same post on the same day, create a habit members return for.
  • Live video inside the group is the highest-trust, highest-reach format you have.

What's stopped working

  • Generic 'introduce yourself' posts with no prompt.
  • Posting links and expecting the algorithm to do the work.
  • Relying on page reach to grow anything.
  • Buying members or running engagement pods.

The growth to conversation handoff

Growth is meaningless if the engagement does not go anywhere. The groups that actually produce clients pair the growth tactics above with the Coaching Client System, so every new member and every comment has a clear next step when it fits. RMM helps with the keeping track, which is why the growth sticks instead of fizzling.

Grow the group. Keep the conversations going with a system. Do not try to grow your way out of a broken follow-up.
