Your Facebook Business Page: The Storefront That Sells Your Coaching While You Sleep

  • Your page is not a megaphone. It is a storefront. Stop trying to reach people with it, and start making it the place worth arriving at.
  • Your profile is the front door. Your group is the living room. Your page is the till. You need all three, and each one points to the next.
  • A page with a working booking button is a 24-hour sales assistant. A page without one is a poster nobody reads.

Your Facebook business page has been talked down for so long that most coaches have given up on it. That is a mistake. The page is not a reach engine, and it never will be again. It is something more useful: your storefront, the credible, professional surface that confirms you are a real business and catches the people your profile and your group warm up. Used wrong, it is a dead wall. Used right, it is the surface that books calls while you are asleep. Here is how to set it up so it does that job.

First, understand what the page is actually for

The reason so many coaches hate their page is that they expect it to do the wrong job. They post into it like a feed and wait for reach that never comes, because Meta has decided pages pay for distribution. So the page feels dead. But the page was never meant to be your reach engine. Your personal profile and your group do reach. The page is the destination, the place people go when they are already interested and want to confirm you are legit, see your offers, and book.

Think of it like a shop on a quiet street. You would not stand in the doorway hoping passers-by appear. You would make the window display so good that the people who do find it, perhaps because a friend sent them, walk in and buy. The page is the window. The profile and the group are the people sending friends your way.

Your page is not a megaphone. It is a storefront. Stop trying to reach people with it, and start making it the place worth arriving at.

The page audit: what to check and fix

Before you add anything, audit what is already there. Most coaches' pages are half-finished, which is worse than empty, because a half-finished page signals a half-serious business. Open yours and check these against what a warm prospect would see.

  • Your profile picture and cover. Do they match your brand and your profile, or do they look like a different business?
  • Your 'About' section. Is it filled in, in full, with what you do, who you help, and how to reach you?
  • Your services or offerings. Are they listed, described, and linked to a way to book?
  • Your call-to-action button. Is it set to 'Book Now' and pointed at your actual booking link?
  • Your reviews and recommendations. Are they visible, and is anyone leaving them?
  • Your pinned post. Is it the offer or the booking, or is it a post from 2023?
  • Your messaging. Is the inbox turned on, and does an auto-reply tell people what to expect?

Fix the gaps and the page stops feeling like an abandoned billboard and starts feeling like the front of a business that is open and ready to help. That feeling is the whole job of the page, and it is the difference between a prospect who books and a prospect who gets spooked and disappears.

The four elements that make a page convert

A page that books coaching clients is not complicated. It is built on four elements, each doing a specific job, and together they turn a visitor into an enquiry without you being online.

The four conversion elements of a coach's Facebook page

ElementThe job it doesWhat it should point to
The cover photoFirst impression and brand recognitionA clear statement of who you help and the outcome
The About sectionCredibility and contextYour story, your offer, and a booking link
The pinned postYour current best offer or next stepThe enquiry form or the free guide
The CTA buttonThe single action you want them to takeYour booking calendar in RMM

Notice what is not on that list: daily posting. A page does not need to be a content engine. It needs to be a conversion surface. A great cover, a complete About, a pinned next step, and a working Book Now button will outperform a page with five hundred posts and a broken booking link, every single time.

How the page fits with your profile and your group

The page only works if it is fed. A storefront with no footfall sells nothing, no matter how good the window is. So the page's job is to be ready, and the profile and group's job is to send it people. The flow is deliberate: your profile gets you seen. Your group builds the trust. And when someone is ready to go deeper, see your offers, or actually book, the page is where you send them, because it is the surface designed for exactly that.

This is why treating the three as separate is the mistake. A profile with no page feels unprofessional when someone tries to look you up. A page with no profile or group feeding it is a ghost town. But when they are wired together, the profile warms, the group deepens, and the page closes, with the Coaching Client System running the enquiry and follow-up underneath all three so nothing slips through.

Your profile is the front door. Your group is the living room. Your page is the till. You need all three, and each one points to the next.

What to actually post on your page

Since the page is not a reach engine, what you post on it is different from what you post on your profile. The page is for the person who has already arrived, so its content is about depth and proof, not reach and novelty.

  • Your offers and services, clearly described, with what is included and who it is for.
  • Your testimonials and client wins, so social proof does the selling the moment they look.
  • Your best evergreen teaching content, the posts that explain your approach and show your expertise.
  • Links to your free resources and your group, so the page can also feed the surfaces that feed it back.

You can cross-post the best of your profile content to the page, but the page's job is not to replicate the profile. It is to be the permanent, searchable, credible record of your business that a serious prospect can explore without scrolling through your personal life. Curate it like a portfolio, not a feed.

The booking button that does the work

The single most valuable feature on your page is the call-to-action button, and the one most coaches set wrong. It should be set to Book Now (or a relevant equivalent) and pointed directly at your booking calendar, not a generic contact form, not a homepage, not a 'learn more' page that leads nowhere. When someone is warm enough to tap it, the next thing they see should be a time they can choose.

This is where the page and the Coaching Client System connect. The Book Now button points at your RMM calendar. The confirmation and the reminder are already set up. The follow-up fires on time. So the page becomes the surface that books calls while you are asleep, because the system underneath it is doing the remembering for you. That is leverage, and it is the reason the page is still worth getting right.

A page with a working booking button is a 24-hour sales assistant. A page without one is a poster nobody reads.

The page is not dead. It is misunderstood.

The reason coaches think the page is dead is that they have been asking it to do a job it was not built for. Stop asking it to reach strangers. Start asking it to convert the ones who arrive, and it becomes one of the most useful surfaces in your whole system. It is your credibility. It is your storefront. It is the till where the interest your profile and group built finally gets rung up.

If your page is sitting there half-finished and you are not sure what it should be doing for you, that is exactly the kind of thing a quick, no-pressure 15-minute call is for. It is not a free coaching session, and there is no hard pitch. It is just an honest look at whether your page is helping or hindering your client attraction, and whether my 1:1 help or the Coaching Client System could be a fit for where you are right now.
